The IATC 25/50 year awards are one of the highest honors a coach can receive and the award would not be possible without nominations. Thank you for your help nominating those coaches who deserve the recognition. Please continue to help by educating other schools in your area of the award. Before making a nomination, please review the following requirements so that we have the opportunity to honor those who have devoted their time and efforts to track and field and/or cross country. All nominations from athletic directors need to be received by April 1st in order to be honored at the State Track and Field Meet presentation. Also, check the past honorees as this is a one-time achievement award. Recipients must qualify under ALL of the requirements.
Requirements for the IATC 25/50 year coaching award include:
• Must have been a contracted coach for 25/50 years in the sport(s) of track and field and/or cross country(not volunteered).
• Must have coached in Iowa for these 25/50 years.
• While counting years, count schools’ calendar years not seasons (i.e. coaching track and cross country this year does not count as “2 years”).
• Can have any combination as a contracted coach at the high school/middle school/junior high level, or any combination as head/assistant coach as long as above requirements are followed counting calendar years.
