Iowa’s Premier Indoor Track & Field Meet
Now entering their fourth year, the IATC Indoor Championships have become the premier indoor track & field meet in the state of Iowa. Hosted at Lied Rec Center on the campus of Iowa State University — one of the country’s best indoor track & field facilities — this meet is loaded with talent and numbers. Over 200 high school programs from across the state compete each year.
The IATC Indoor Championships is unique because of the team score competition and the wide variety of indoor events that are offered. Whether a school is bringing a full team or just a handful of athletes, this track & field meet is a must on any high school programs schedule!

Spectator FAQ
Where Is the Meet Located?
The track is located on the Iowa State University campus at Lied Recreation Athletic Center, 518 Beach Road, in Ames.
How Much Is Admission?
Admission is $10 per adult and $5 per student. Spectators not yet in school will be admitted for free.
What Seating Is Available?
Limited seating is available at the track level, and capacity will be monitored throughout the day. Nobody is allowed above the ground floor of the Lied Rec Center.
Where Should I Park?
Iowa State classes will be in session, so on-campus parking signs will be enforced. Do not park in spaces or lots that say “reserved all hours/all days,” or during the reserved hours “reserved 7 a.m.-5 p.m.,” for example. These spaces and lots are heavily enforced by the ISU parking division and are subject to ticketing at the owner’s expense.
The Lied Rec Center does have pay-by-the-hour stalls on site, but they fill quickly. There is also pay parking at the Memorial Union parking ramp, which is about a 10-minute walk from the Lied Rec Center. Otherwise, plan to park for free at Iowa State Center commuter lots (Hilton Coliseum/CY Stephens Auditorium/tailgate lots) and walk roughly half a mile north. Or, from the commuter lots, you may also consider hopping on the Cy-Ride bus, which loads near lots D1/D2 and drops off in front of Lied Rec Center.
