Coach of the Year for Cross Country, Track & Field
The Iowa Association of Track Coaches “Coach of the Year” Award is presented to the coach who has demonstrated the best overall coaching job for the most recent season. Coaches can be nominated through the form below or by nominations presented at the IATC meeting following the season.
Voting takes place at the spring IATC meeting for track & field and at the fall meeting for cross country. All IATC members are encouraged to attend the IATC spring and fall meetings to vote for these awards.
Once the state coach of the year in each class and gender is nominated, the merits of each nomination are discussed and followed by the award voting. Nominations, discussion, and voting for the regional coaches of the year continue in each class and gender. Five regional coaches of the year are voted “at-large” for each class and gender.
